Willow Grove Park
Willow Grove Park is open for day use and camping.
The Kiosk does NOT provide change and the City does NOT provide refunds to those that overpay. Please pay the Day Use fee with exact change or use a credit card.
The Fishing Pier is currently closed. The Boat Ramp and Boat Dock are open. The playground is open.
Fill out your Willow Grove Park Pass application online HERE or by visiting City Hall. Passes must be picked up from City Hall, whether applied for in-person or online, from City Hall during the above open hours.

***Reminder: The new Texas state law allowing open/concealed carry of handguns does not apply to federal lands which includes Willow Grove Park.***

About the Park
Willow Grove Park offers a scenic location for an afternoon picnic, a place to fish, overnight camping or just to relax in nature. Located on the shores of Lake Lewisville just minutes from I-35, its peaceful waters and beautiful surrounding make you feel like you are on a private lake side retreat.
Willow Grove Park has given locals and campers from afar the opportunity to enjoy nature and escape from their busy lives for many years. Willow Grove Park is leased by the City of Lake Dallas from the United States Army Corp of Engineers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Resident Passes
- Parking Passes for Willow Grove park are free for Lake Dallas residents.
- Residents must obtain a Parking Pass from Lake Dallas City Hall located at 212 Main Street, Lake Dallas, TX 75065.
- Residents must provide a state issued ID that reflects their Lake Dallas address at the time of issuing.
- Passes are good January through December of the same year and must be renewed annually. Parking Passes issued any time during 2019 will expire December 31, 2019.
- Residents seeking additional Parking Passes for family members who are not present are required to pay $5.00 per additional Pass.
- If a resident loses their Parking Pass, they are required to pay a replacement fee of $5.00.
- Parking Passes must be visible on the vehicle.
Non-Resident Passes
- Non-residents can obtain a daily Parking Pass at the Kiosk, located at the entrance of Willow Grove Park.
- Daily Parking Passes are $5.00 and they expire at midnight the day of purchase.
- Parking Passes must be visible on the vehicle.
- The kiosk does NOT provide change. Please pay with exact change or by credit card to avoid overpaying. The City does not provide refunds for overpaying
Willow Grove Park is monitored by Public Works staff and Lake Dallas Police. Those who are caught parking without a resident or visitor Parking Pass may be subject to fines or citations.
Resident Passes
- Lake Dallas residents can obtain an annual Boat Launch pass for $40 at Lake Dallas City Hall, located at 212 Main Street, Lake Dallas, TX 75065.
- Boat Launch passes must be visible on the vehicle.
Non-Resident Passes
- Non-residents can purchase a $10 daily Boat Launch pass at the Kiosk, located at the entrance of Willow Grove Park.
- If a non-resident purchases a Boat Launch pass, they are not required to purchase a Parking Pass.
- Boat Launch passes expire at midnight the day of purchase.
- Boat Launch passes must be visible on vehicle.
Willow Grove Park is monitored by Public Works staff and Lake Dallas Police. Those who are caught launching a boat without a resident or visitor Boat Launch pass may be subject to fines or citations.
A grant received from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in 2006 allowed the City of Lake Dallas in cooperation with the Lake Dallas Community Development Corporation and the Corp of Engineers to begin an improvement plan at Willow Grove Park. In June 2007, updates to the park were made with new amenities and improved camping spaces. In 2011, additional improvements are planned including a shower house facility and single-lane boat ramp.
The park is a vital component of the vision of the City of Lake Dallas. Lake Dallas' vision is to be a proud community with unique charm, built on strong family and community values, with exciting lake-side, recreational, and tourism assets supported by a diverse and profitable business base.
Policies
The Lake Dallas Police Department enforces Willow Grove Park's rules and regulations including after-hours noise, loud parties and/or unruliness.
