The Lake Dallas Animal Shelter is open by appointment only. Please call (940) 497-7090 or email the shelter at animalservices@lakedallaspd.org to set up an appointment to meet or adopt an animal. 

About the Department

The mission of the Lake Dallas Animal Services Department is to: 

  • Assist with responsible pet ownership
  • Prevent the spread of animal borne diseases
  • Promote positive animal health
  • Protect the public from nuisance animals

Officers and volunteers always work with the animals’ best interests in mind. We provide temporary shelter and strive to locate suitable homes for all healthy, adoptable animals. Officers also enforce state and local ordinances relating to animals located within the City of Lake Dallas.
