Why should I use a TollTag?
Drivers that use a Toll Tag pay less to drive NTTA toll roads than those who do not use one. And...TollTags can be used on any toll road in Texas!

What is the application process to get a TollTag?

  1. Fill out the required application.
  2. You MUST have the following information to complete the application:
    • Year, make, model, color and state and license plate number of the vehicle the toll tag is being purchased for.
    • Drivers License number & state
    • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover). Payment must be made with a credit card.  This is because payments are processed by the NTTA and not made directly to the City of Lake Dallas.
    • Valid Email Address
  3. Once you have completed the application, we will print your application and check your photo id. We will then assign a Toll Tag number to each vehicle and submit the information to the NTTA for processing. The processing time is only a few minutes before approval is received. Once NTTA approval is received, you will be given your TollTag(s) for immediate use!

How much will my TollTag cost?
When you apply for a TollTag, you are actually setting up a pre-paid account to cover your future toll charges. Therefore, you must provide a credit card number to open your account. (Mastercard, Visa, or American Express are accepted.) Each TollTag is assigned to a specific vehicle and license plate number; therefore if you have more than one vehicle in your household, you may want to get a TollTag for each vehicle.  An initial $40.00 charge on your credit card will allow you to have up to three TollTags for three different vehicles on your account. $80.00 is the initial charge for accounts opened with four to six TollTags. As you use your TollTag, the tolls will be deducted from your account balance. Once your account balance drops below $10.00, your credit card will be charged for another $40.00.
