  1. Couch Potato To 5K

    February 1, 2020, 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM @ Lake Dallas Public Library

    Join us as we get in shape this January. We will meet in front of the Lake Dallas Public Library to stretch at 7 a.m. We will take off on the Rail Trail at 7:30 a.m. and circle back to the library around 8 a.m. We will be utilizing the C25K app to go from couch potato to 5K, alternating between walking and jogging for 30 minutes. Remember to bring your own water, and we will see you bright and early.

January 18: Mortgages & Considering Home Ownership Learn what financial preparation is required prior to purchasing a home. You will learn how the mortgage application works, the options available, and the costs associated with getting a mortgage. Jan 25: Retirement Learn how to prepare for retirement readiness by creating a savings plan and learning about investment vehicles that may allow you to grow their wealth. Feb 1: Identity Theft Learn about the methods used by identity thieves to steal personal information and how to protect yourself. RSVP isn’t required but encouraged for lunch count.

  3. Learning Spanish Together

    Learn Spanish at the Library with your whole family and library staff. Open to ages 4 and up, this program will utilize the Duolingo Classroom and provide a fun environment as we all learn Spanish Together! This program utilizes the Duolingo classroom, so it is recommended that you bring a device that can connect to the Internet, including a tablet, laptop, or phone.
