September 12, 2019, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ Lake Dallas Public Library
Join us for stories and activities that encourage literacy and creativity! We provide opportunities for young children and their caregivers to talk, sing, read, write, and play together at the library so that caregivers understand their vital role in helping their children be prepared to start kindergarten. Storytime is an opportunity for preschool aged children and their parent, guardian, or caretaker to bond, work on print recognition, engage socially with their peers, and learn the fundamentals of language and reading.
The goal of storytime is to ensure school readiness for pre-school aged children by working with parents and children to develop personal and social development, language and literacy, mathematical and scientific thinking, approach to learning, cognition and general knowledge, physical development and health, and an early appreciation of the arts and development of motor skills.
