Terms of Adoption

Adoption fee is $60. The adopting party is responsible for spaying or neutering their pet per section 828.002 of the Texas Health and Safety code and is punishable by a Class C misdemeanor if violated.

Adoptable adult dogs receive the following:

  • Distemper/Parvo Combo (DAPPv+Cv) and Bordetella vaccinations
  • Rabies Vaccination or VOUCHER
  • Dewormed for roundworm, hookworm and stomach worm parasites
  • Heartworm Test
    (Date & Results Noted on Adoption Contract)

Adoptable puppies under 4 months of age will receive the following:

  • 1st Distemper/Parvo Combo (DAPPv+Cv) and Bordetella vaccinations
  • Rabies Vaccination VOUCHER
  • First round of dewormed for roundworm, hookworm and stomach worm parasites

Adoptable adult cats will received the following:

  • Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calice virus and Panleukopenia (FVRCP) 
  • Rabies Vaccination or VOUCHER
  • Dewormed for roundworm, hookworm and stomach worm parasites 
  • Tested for FIV and FeLV

Adoptable kittens under 4 months of age will received the following:

  • First Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calice virus and Panleukopenia (FVRCP)
  • Rabies Vaccination or VOUCHER
  • Dewormed for roundworm, hookworm and stomach worm parasites 
  • Tested for FIV and FeLV
    (Date & Results Noted on Adoption Contract)

**PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT ANIMALS THAT COME INTO THE SHELTER TYPICALLY COME IN WITHOUT ANY PREVIOUS MEDICAL OR TEMPERAMENT HISTORY. WE DO OUR BEST TO SCREEN ALL ANIMALS TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE SUITABLE FOR ADOPTION. HOWEVER, BECAUSE OF THE UNKNOWN WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ANY ANIMAL'S HEALTH OR TEMPERAMENT. **
